HISTORY OF "THE VILLA "ITALIAN RESTAURANT

A LITTLE ROCK TRADITION FOR 56 YEARS.

The Villa was born as a small quaint Italian cafe on an unpaved road called Hayes street in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1951.  You may now know the street today as University Avenue.  It's proprietors Gus and Mary Calabro knew that great food, good wine and true hospitality were the essence of an Italian dining experience.

We specialize in a variety of veal and chicken dishes prepared the same way Ol' Gus did them back in the 1950's.  We are known for our rich red tomato sauce that will make you swear you are in the south of Italy.  We boast one of the finest wine lists to be found, serve very cold beer and only the best Iced Tea.

We were regular customers of Gus and Mary's for two decades and finally just decided to buy the place and eat for free.  We moved west as a lot of our customers did and are happy to call Rock Creek Square home.  We have continued to honor and respect the traditions and history of the restaurant as Gus and Mary did for so many years.

Please join us for lunch or dinner.
